A Rhinoplasty Patient's Week — From Consultation and Tests to Surgery and Splint Removal

Rhinoplasty is one of the procedures international patients ask about most, yet the actual stay is simpler than many expect. After an online consultation with photos and your wishes before departure, you have an in-person consultation the day after arrival, plus blood tests and a nasal examination (CT if needed), and the surgical method and incision approach are confirmed. Surgery usually takes one to three hours with discharge the same or next day; the closed approach, which uses incisions inside the nose only, leaves no visible scar and tends to recover relatively quickly. Swelling and bruising peak on days two to three, so rest at your accommodation; around days five to seven the splint and stitches are removed, you have a final check, and then you fly home. Afterwards you share progress photos and avoid blowing your nose hard or wearing glasses for long periods for a few weeks. Recommended stays differ by hospital, so it is safer to book flights after the consultation.

A Day at a Health Screening Center — The International Patient’s Path from Booking to Results

An international check-up at a Korean screening center usually runs like this. At booking you choose the program (basic, premium, added MRI or CT) and language support (English, Chinese, Russian, Mongolian, and others), then receive fasting instructions from the evening before. On the day, after check-in, a dedicated coordinator or interpreter walks with you through blood draw, imaging, and endoscopy, typically finishing by late morning. Results arrive in an English report in about one to two weeks; centers that connect abnormal findings directly to an on-site clinic or partner hospital save you a second search. Ask whether results can be explained online after you return home and whether you get a reminder for next year’s repeat — that turns one visit into ongoing care. Plan a light afternoon of sightseeing after the exam.

Dental Care on a Short Stay — How Far Can You Go

In dentistry, how long you can stay determines what can be done. Scaling, caries treatment, and cosmetic restorations such as laminates usually finish within one to two weeks. Implants, however, need time for the bone to integrate, so placement and the final prosthesis are typically split across two visits. Orthodontics assumes long-term management and needs coordination with a dentist at home. Many Korean clinics run digital scanners and in-house labs, which shortens prosthesis turnaround — a good match for a short itinerary. Sending a current panoramic X-ray and your treatment history before you travel makes scheduling far more accurate.

A Half-Day Precision Checkup, Step by Step

Korea’s premium checkups are widely praised as “fast and precise.” After intake and basic tests, AI-assisted CT/MRI/endoscopy — and liquid biopsy or genomic screening if needed — mostly finish within half a day. A multilingual coordinator accompanies you, easing the language barrier, and result reports are available in English and more. Investing just one day of your trip to check your health makes it especially popular with visitors combining tourism.
