Autumn Lifting Season — How to Choose Between Ultrasound and RF Lifting
Autumn is known as “lifting season” in Korean dermatology: UV exposure weakens, post-treatment pigmentation risk drops, and results settle in before year-end events. Lifting falls into two families — ultrasound (HIFU), which delivers energy to the SMAS layer to tighten sagging, and radiofrequency (RF), which heats the dermis to rebuild collagen for elasticity, fine lines, and pores. Sagging usually points to ultrasound, laxity and texture to RF, and combined protocols are common. Most treatments allow same-day return to daily life, so they pair well with shopping and sightseeing, but visible results take 4–12 weeks — check whether the clinic follows up remotely after you return home. Confirm certified genuine devices and the practitioner’s experience during consultation.
